How to Book a VIP Table in Marrakech (2026): Costs and Steps

The Short Version

Tables in Marrakech clubs are arranged over WhatsApp, not through a booking website. You are quoted a minimum spend, not a table price. And on Friday and Saturday, a reservation is the difference between walking in and standing outside.

Message two to three days ahead. Ask for the minimum for that specific night — it moves with the line-up.

Why a Table Changes the Night

Most visitors think a table is about status. It is mostly about logistics, and it solves three problems at once.

It gets your whole group in. Hivernage doors filter hard, and they filter groups hardest. A group of six turning up unbooked at 01:00 on a Saturday will be split, delayed, or refused outright — regardless of how well everyone is dressed.

It gives you somewhere to be. These rooms get genuinely full. Without a table, a group of six loses each other within twenty minutes and spends the night texting.

It fixes the budget in advance. You agree the minimum before you arrive, rather than discovering the total at 04:00.

If you are four or more, the maths usually works out close to what you would spend at the bar anyway.

How the Booking Actually Works

1. Message ahead on WhatsApp. This is how nightlife works in Marrakech. Clubs answer WhatsApp far faster than email, and most have no online booking system at all. Two to three days ahead for a weekend; the same day is fine midweek.

2. Tell them four things. How many people, which night, roughly what time you will arrive, and the occasion if there is one. Birthdays and bachelor or bachelorette groups are handled differently by different venues — some welcome them, some quietly decline. Say it upfront rather than finding out at the door.

3. Ask for the minimum spend for that night. Not "how much is a table". The number changes with the day and the line-up, and a guest DJ can double it.

4. Ask what the minimum includes. Usually bottles and mixers. Rarely food. Sometimes entry for the group, sometimes not — this is the question people forget.

5. Confirm on the day. Plans shift, and an unconfirmed table can be released.

6. Arrive roughly when you said. Tables are generally held for a window, not indefinitely.

What It Costs

Rough orders of magnitude for 2026, outside New Year and special events. Treat these as a starting point and confirm with the venue — prices move, and a big international DJ changes everything.

Without a table, a night out — one rooftop cocktail, club entry, two drinks inside — lands around 340 to 850 MAD per person. With a table, you are on a different scale, but split across six people a 2,000 MAD minimum is roughly what six people drink anyway.

The venues in the top price bracket — Leone, Pacha, Secret Room, Nikki Beach — will quote higher minimums than the rest.

Where Booking Matters Most

Book, always, if you are going to a Hivernage club on a Friday or Saturday: Theatro, Babouchka, So Lounge, W Club, Secret Room.

Book the table, not the door, at the dinner-clubs — Epicurien, The Lotus Club, Buddha Bar. You eat first and the room turns into a club around you, so a dinner reservation already secures your night. This is the easiest route in for a group that does not want to queue.

Check the night is even happening. Leone and Pacha open Friday and Saturday only. Nikki Beach closes at 18:30 — it is a day club.

No booking needed at the Guéliz bars. Baromètre, Kissko and Entrepotes have no door policy — walk in.

Questions Worth Asking Before You Commit

• What is the minimum spend for that specific night?
• Does it include entry for everyone in the group?
• What exactly does it cover — bottles only, or mixers and service too?
• Is service charge included or added at the end?
• Until what time is the table held?
• Do you take cards, or is it cash?
• Are you happy to host a bachelor or bachelorette group?

That last one saves more evenings than any of the others.

Practical Warnings

Do not prepay a stranger. Legitimate venues confirm your booking and take payment at the venue. Anyone insisting on a bank transfer to hold a table, through an unofficial account, is a risk.
